NBN Co has scheduled backhaul maintenance this month that will affect internet and phone services in several South East Queensland suburbs.
- What it is: A backhaul carrier is replacing network equipment (a splice enclosure) that serves several NBN points of interconnect across Queensland.
- Who is affected: Businesses connected through the Ipswich, Merrimac, Acacia Ridge Depot, Goodna, Bundamba and Southport exchange areas, for maintenance windows of up to 7 hours.
- What the risk is: Temporary loss of internet and any phone services running over the NBN connection during the maintenance window.
- What to do: Check the exact date and time for your address on nbnco.com.au, and have a backup connection such as a mobile hotspot ready if your business depends on being online.
If your business is in one of these areas, we recommend checking your address on the NBN network status page and planning around the outage window.
