Google has rolled out new enterprise security controls for Workspace Studio, its AI-powered collaboration tool, giving admins better oversight of how staff use it.

• What it is: Identity attribution, data loss prevention (DLP) rules for Studio, and DLP specifically for Gemini's data access, all live from 1 September 2026.
• Who is affected: Google Workspace business and enterprise customers using, or trialling, Workspace Studio and Gemini AI features.
• What the risk is: Without these controls switched on, sensitive company data could be exposed through AI features without admin visibility or an audit trail.
• What to do: Review the new DLP and identity attribution settings in the Admin console and apply them to any team using Workspace Studio or Gemini.
