Google has expanded a key security alert in Workspace so that businesses get notified whenever any administrator account has its password reset, not just the Super Admin account.

• What it is: The existing "Super Admin password reset" alert has been broadened into a general "Admin password reset" alert covering every administrator role in your organisation.
• Who is affected: Any business using Google Workspace with more than one administrator account, which is common once a business grows beyond a sole owner-operator.
• What the risk is: Password resets on privileged accounts are a common sign of account takeover. Previously, a reset on a non-Super Admin account could go unnoticed until damage was already done.
• What action is needed: No setup is required as this alert is enabled automatically, but we recommend confirming your admin console notification recipients are up to date so the right person actually sees these alerts.
