Google has added filtered exports for Gemini conversations to Google Vault, giving administrators a practical way to find and export staff AI chats for records or legal needs.

• Who is affected: Google Workspace businesses that use Vault and have Gemini enabled for staff.
• Why it matters: staff conversations with Gemini can now be treated like other business records, which helps with compliance, investigations and legal holds.
• Privacy angle: staff may not realise their AI chats can be retrieved, so it is worth covering this in your acceptable use policy.
