Google has added four new options to Workspace Studio, its no-code tool for automating everyday tasks. The features are on by default and are rolling out gradually from 13 October 2026, taking up to 15 days to reach each user.
- Nested conditionals: Automations can now contain decisions inside other decisions.
- Gmail skip replies: Email-triggered automations can ignore follow-up replies and run only on the first message.
- Meet calendar outputs: The Meet step can pass on more event details, including the invitee list, and offers templates for follow-up emails.
- Search for a doc: A new Drive step lets automations find files based on search terms.
- Who is affected: All Google Workspace customers with access to Workspace Studio. Existing domain and organisational unit policies apply.
We recommend administrators confirm that Workspace Studio and its Drive and Gmail steps are set the way the business intends before staff start building automations that touch shared data.
