Google has added a new dashboard letting Workspace admins see and shut down any AI agent connected to company data, an important control as more staff start using AI tools linked to email, Drive and calendars.
- What it is: An agent access management dashboard in the Admin console that lists every AI agent with access to your Workspace data, and lets admins suspend all agents at once or revoke access for a specific agent or permission.
- Who is affected: Any organisation using Google Workspace, particularly if staff have connected third-party AI tools to their Google account.
- What the risk is: Staff often grant AI tools access to Drive, Gmail or Calendar without IT's knowledge. If one of those tools is compromised or misbehaves, it can expose company data.
- What to do: Review the new agent access management dashboard in the Admin console and revoke access for any AI tool you do not recognise or no longer use.
We recommend making this review a regular part of your Workspace admin housekeeping as AI tool adoption grows. Source: Google Workspace Updates.
