NBN: Planned Maintenance – Victoria and Queensland This Weekend

NBN Co has scheduled planned maintenance for several points of interconnect in Victoria and Queensland over the coming days. Businesses in affected areas may experience disruptions to their internet service during these windows.

  • South Morang and Traralgon (Victoria) - 15 June 2026, 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM AEST: Fibre cable upgrade work by the backhaul carrier. NBN services at these points of interconnect may be affected for up to seven hours overnight.
  • Eight Mile (Queensland) - 18 June 2026, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM AEST: A cable cutover by the backhaul carrier may affect NBN services for up to seven hours overnight.
  • Who is affected: Businesses and homes served by these points of interconnect via their retail ISP. Contact your ISP to confirm whether your specific service is in the affected area.
  • What to do: If your business relies on internet connectivity for critical operations during these overnight windows, consider having a 4G or 5G mobile backup connection available. Schedule any large uploads, downloads, or cloud backups outside the maintenance periods where possible.
